Chocolate Nut Protein Donuts

Serves 4
Alright I’ll admit it: I have an obsession with donuts. When I do allow myself to have a treat from time to time the first thing I go for is a fresh donut. Then I got to thinking, what if I came up with a donut that I could eat every morning..! Welp I did it! Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1/3 cup oat flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 egg whites
1/4 tsp. almond extract or vanilla extract – depending on what flavor you like
3 Tbsp almond milk
3 Tbsp. Chocolate Protein powder (MHP)
1 drop Chocolate Flavor Liquid Stevia

For frosting:

2 Tbsp Greek yogurt
1 Tbsp Nut butter of choice

Instructions:

Mix oat flour, egg whites, protein powder, almond milk and stevia well and pour into sprayed donut pan. Bake at 350 for about 10-12 mins. Let cool for 5-10 mins.
For Frosting: Mix 2 Tbsp Greek Yogurt with 1 Tbsp. of peanut or almond butter. Frost donuts and top with chopped nuts.

Notes:

If you do not have oat flour you can make your own by blending oat meal in a blender until it is like flour! Its easy!
Also these little babies are great without frosting too and are great with coffee in the morning..perfect for dunking!
